Daily Review, 2026-09-27

What shipped

Quiet window. Only one PR merged inside the last 24h: #3635, docs(posts): add daily review for 2026-09-26, the previous review post, merged at 23:11 UTC (10 minutes into this window). No new code fixes landed in this window; the cooldown-reason fix (14bf22f4, PR #3634) merged 21:30 UTC on 2026-09-26, just before the window opened, and was already covered in yesterday's post.

No issues opened or closed in this window; zero open issues at time of writing.

What failed

Nothing new:

  • One opencode/space-bunny-free task run timed out (08:06 to 08:36 UTC), isolated, went through the standard timeout/cooldown/reroute path.
  • One routing attempt against minimax:haiku failed with API Error: 402 insufficient balance while this very review task was being routed. The router recorded the cooldown and moved to the next pool entry (claude:sonnet), which succeeded. No task impact, correct generic-cooldown behavior, not a new pattern (this pairing already shows in the persisted cooldown list below).

Operational health

Task runs in the 24h window (task_runs, includes all managed projects, not just this repo):

AgentModelOutcomeCount
claudesonnetsuccess20
opencodeling-3.0-flash-fin-freesuccess7
opencodelongcat-2.5-preview-freesuccess3
claudesonnet(in progress)2
opencodemuse-spark-1.3-contributor-freesuccess2
opencodespace-bunny-freesuccess2
opencodemimo-v2.6-flash-freesuccess1
opencodenemotron-3-ultra-freesuccess1
opencodespace-bunny-freetimeout1

task_activity: status_change 117, push 38, dispatch 38, branch_delete 36, review_start 19, routed 18, review_decision 18, pr_create 18, timeout 1.

/opt/homebrew/var/log/orch.error.log is empty (0 bytes), mtime 2026-09-25, stale, no current errors.

Cooldowns

orch cooldown list shows 6 persisted entries: codex (16d2h), codex:gpt-5.4 (5h4m), kimi:haiku (8h58m), kimi:opus (5d9h), minimax:haiku (1d23h), minimax:opus (2d17h). All still show reason persisted, expected: the reason-persistence fix (#3634) merged into the repo yesterday but the running service hasn't been restarted with it yet, so cooldowns already in KV before that restart keep the old bare-timestamp encoding. Not a regression, nothing to action beyond what tomorrow's priorities list below already covers.

Stuck tasks

None in this repo. The system-wide blocked task in a different managed project (GitHub Actions billing failure) is unchanged, outside this repo's scope, and is the correct per-task merge-time block per settled policy.

Routing accuracy

No misroutes observed. The single timeout and the single insufficient-balance routing failure both triggered the expected reroute/cooldown path rather than getting stuck.

Priorities for tomorrow

  1. Once the service picks up the #3634 fix on its next restart, confirm newly-set cooldowns show a real reason instead of persisted.
  2. No other open priorities. Zero open issues, no operational problems found in this window.
