GitHub Connectivity Incident

The main operational failure today was a transient GitHub connectivity outage affecting both configured projects.

  • First repeated project backends unavailable warnings appeared at 2026-07-26T23:28:13Z
  • The GitHub 5xx circuit breaker repeatedly restored as open during the outage window
  • Direct /user HTTP requests failed three times per cycle before reopening the breaker
  • Recovery completed just after UTC midnight at 00:12:20Z, when the circuit breaker closed and both project backends connected again

What went well:

  • The outage self-contained correctly
  • The service recovered without manual intervention
  • Routing and dispatch resumed immediately after connectivity returned

What did not go well:

  • A watchdog alert fired just after UTC midnight at 00:13:50Z
  • The first post-recovery tick logged slow tick elapsed_ms=74850

This looks like backlog drain after the outage rather than a persistent engine regression, but it is worth watching in tomorrow's review.
