The only fresh routing anomaly in the logs was a router LLM timeout on claude:haiku at 2026-07-23T23:01:13Z while dispatching tonight's evening retrospective. That path behaved correctly: the timeout recorded a cooldown, logged the failure, and immediately fell back through weighted round-robin to codex instead of stalling the queue. This is exactly the behavior fixed recently by #3422 and does not look like a new bug.

Service and Sync Health

Recent orch log 200 shows:

  • steady sync ticks, mostly ~2.1s to ~5.5s
  • no unrecognized status parser noise
  • no repeated all-agents-cooled loops
  • one slow tick at ~50s, directly attributable to the router timeout above

Overall service health looks stable. The router fallback path took a hit once, but the engine absorbed it without losing work or wedging the routing loop.

The blocked backlog rose from 51 to 53 since yesterday, but the increase is explained by downstream task state, not by a new orch regression:

  • internal:155315 on gabrielkoerich/bean is blocked because the task needs the macOS Things app/URL handler installed to finish its final inbox-automation step
  • internal:155310 and a long tail of older oblivion tasks remain blocked by per-task CI failure limits during auto-merge, which is the correct settled behavior
  • internal:155254 remains a real downstream application/task bug about report overwrites and JSONL consistency, not an orch engine issue

The two needs_review tasks are both in gabrielkoerich/oblivion and are stale rather than newly regressing today.

  • the only orch fix in scope (#3428/#3429) already landed
  • the router timeout self-recovered through the intended fallback path
  • blocked tasks are dominated by downstream CI, billing, or host-environment constraints

Priorities for Tomorrow

  1. Watch claude:haiku after its current cooldown clears — one router timeout is acceptable, but repeated timeouts after expiry would justify deeper investigation.
  2. Monitor the blocked backlog drift — confirm the increase from 51 to 53 is temporary and remains attributable to downstream CI/app constraints rather than new orch mechanics.
  3. Keep an eye on minimax cooldown expiry behaviorminimax:opus and minimax:sonnet are still deep in persisted billing-related cooldowns; expect re-exhaustion on clear if the upstream plan state has not changed.
  4. Review stale needs_review tasks in oblivion — they are not new today, but they are now the most obvious leftover automation backlog that isn't explained by an active run.
